April 6th, 2025 | Jesus calls His followers to serve others, especially in times of suffering. In Matthew 25:35-40, He teaches that when we care for the hungry, the sick, and the imprisoned, we are serving Him directly. In Mark 10:45, Jesus Himself came "not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many," setting the ultimate example of sacrificial love. In Luke 10:25-37, the Parable of the Good Samaritan reminds us that true compassion is shown through action, even when it is inconvenient or costly. And in John 13:12-17, Jesus washes His disciples' feet, demonstrating that humility and service are not just good deeds but a way of life for those who follow Him. As His disciples, we are called to love and serve others, bringing hope and healing even in the midst of suffering.
